Email him (quinnm@hartfordschools.net) a reminder on the Wednesday before the Friday setup. 2008: Barbara Rhoad has several stakes, though you may need more (12 are required) and you may need to buy rope (2 60-ft lengths should be enough) (consult Mike on this). Mike's (or anyone's) tent should be set up before 2 p.m. on the day before the sale, so Carter and Co. can set up the tables before the end of their workday at 3:30. (In 2007, David Rhoad dismantled the tables). |

Apply to Price Chopper for donation. Ask for $30 credit donation. They have a form to fill out which should be taken right to the store. The manager will approve. They typically give a credit donation ($20 in 2005; $25 in 2006 and 2007). Use it to purchase cans of cola, diet cola, root beer, and 7-up clone (whatever's on sale), and juices. 2008: Do not buy bottled water. It's tap water anyway and despoils the environment. Having setups of ice water for free might be nice. |

Call Kevin Anderson (674-6465) and arrange for boy/girl scout help at 7:15 on the Saturday (donuts and coffee until we start moving books at 7:30 sharp). Email him a reminder on the Wednesday before. Ask Chris Coxon to help at 7:00 with tables. Call him on Wednesday to remind him (674-2853). 2008: Kevin and Co. failed to show up until quite late in 2007. If you can get Chris Coxon, Mark Eyerman, and a few more people there at 7:00, you can do without the scouts. Get as many people as possible to come on Sunday at 3:00 for takedown. |

Call Doug and Rose Dulac (674-2358) to obtain permission to use their lawn and picnic table for kids' books area, even though he said in 2005 that we didn't have to ask each year. 2006: If we have rain on the first morning, be prepared to sell kid's books from the basement and later move them to Brian's tent if it stops. 2008: It would be very good to get the kid's books under some shelter from sun and rain. In very bad weather, we've sold kid's books in the kid's room. Talk to Jen about this. |
