IN: Advertisement from vendor that supplies item for silent auction. OUT: Notification of Book Sale sent to thirty-eight dealers of used books; ‘Friends’ letter sent to selectmen and Don Howard stating Friends’ mission and the deplorable state of its public financing, and requesting their membership; Thank you note to Joann Allen for Book Sale coffee; Letters of recognition/thanks to those who donated more than $5 membership. | |

Book Sale: All going great. Silent Auction: Amy McMullen will be manager. Dale Copps will be Assistant Manager. Author Luncheons: Still unresolved. | |

Membership Drive: At 99 members. Goal is 116. 501(c)(3): Dale will begin this process after the Book Sale. | |

Letter to Ex-Friends: Letter will be sent to lapsed Friends reminding them to renew their membership. If no response, they will be removed from the database. Approved (unanimous). Fundraiser Ideas: Dale proposed a Christmas shopping scavanger hunt. He will approach several Upper Valley businesses to gauge vendor enthusiasm, and report results at next meeting. Heather suggested formal dress croquet and tea on the lawn of some local historic place (Juniper Hill?), and also one-day workshops with area artisans (wood, glass, etc.). Jen suggested doing a Coffee Break at the rest stop just before the I-89 I-91 interchange, on Labor Day weekend. Karen is investigating this possibility. | |
