| Robert greeted the attendees and thanked them for coming. | |
| Treasurer's Report | |

Contribution to Library: Karen Woodward reported that 2006 income was $14,708.19 and expenditures for the library were $2,244.50. Robert added that these include a new photocopier and funds for a matching grant for children's books. (The computer items he also mentioned were actually purchased in 2007.) (Note: a $4,000 grant was received and returned in 2006, and this figure is also included in the income figure. Real income in 2006 was therefore $10,708.19.) Current Net Worth as of Dec 31, 2006: $29,113.48 | |
| President's Report | |
| Robert summarized 2006 activities and discussed plans for 2007. Dale expanded on plans for Art on a Limb II, and announced the receipt of a $3,000 grant from the Byrne Foundation for the purpose of underwriting and expanding the outreach of the event. | |
| Open Discussion | |
| Beth Carlson spoke to the question of the relationship between the Friends and the Trustees, with Robert commenting on his activities in support of bringing the two groups together. The Authors' Luncheons were brought up by Joyce Pierce, and there was an extended discussion regarding the desirability and possible strategies for reviving this once-popular activity. | |
| Election of Officers | |
| The nominating committee placed three names in nomination, Beth Carlson, Ruth Doiron, and Rebecca Haynes, and one individual, Mark Eyerman, nominated himself from the floor. Each spoke briefly about themselves, then the group voted on them as a slate, and they were unanimously elected to three-year terms. | |
| Bertha Frothingham Award for Outstanding Service | |
| Dale spoke of the history of the award, and Robert presented this year's award to Barbara Rhoad, for her long and devoted service to the library. | |

| Thanks to Pamela Bagley, Grace Batesole, Beth Carlson, Ruth Doiron, Rosemary Hall, Rebecca Haynes, and Karen Tyler for the exceptionally yummy refreshments we enjoyed, along with much good conversation, after the conclusion of the Annual Meeting. | |
