Carole Rosalinde Drury

Ms. Drury lives in Stowe. She received her BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston) and has studied in Paris. She has shown extensively throughout the eastern U.S. and in France, and is currently the Executive Director of Stowe Studio Arts and the Stowe Arts Council.

“Acer Saccharum” is Latin for sugar maple. Ms. Drury’s pensive, haunting forest figure—a massive, mythological being with trees for tresses—is wonderfully realized in oil.
