About Art on a Limb
All Leaves On Display Through Noon, Oct 14
at Three Seasons Gifts and Antiques
85 Main Street (at the foot of State St.), Windsor, VT
Art on a Limb is a unique statewide collaboration in support of an institution which perpetually experiences funding challenges and which ought to be supported and protected by every aware citizen—our public libraries.
Several dozen Vermont artists who love libraries—and the freedom to read which libraries provide and defend for all of us—have generously shared their talents, decorating pine cutouts of Vermont maple leaves.
This amazing collection of leaves—which make wonderful gifts—will be auctioned online from September 1 through October 13; then, on October 14, 2007, at 2 p.m. we’ll have the live “Final Day Auction” at the Knave of Hearts Museum Café in Windsor, Vermont, located in the old Firehouse at 147 Main Street, between the two stoplights.
Anyone wishing to place a bid on one or more of the leaves may do so by contributing $25 to the Vermont public library of their choice, creditable to a winning bid on a leaf. (Click “The Auction” and “Signup Form” in the menu on the right for more information.)
If you aren’t the high bidder on a leaf, your registration fee is 100% tax deductible as a charitable contribution.
