Fran Bull lives in Brandon. She studied art in the Newark Museum and at Bennington College, before earning her M.A. from New York University in Art and Art Education. She has had many solo exhibitions in New York City and London, among other venues. She has designed for the stage and performed both on the stage and in film, and has published three books. She is the owner and director of Gallery in the Field, a dramatic venue for innovative, provocative artists, musicians, and performers.
Through a miscommunication entirely the fault of the manager of Art on a Limb, Fran produced not one, but three exquisite leaves! Bidders are the big winners here, with three opportunities to become the proud owner of an original work by one of Vermont's most celebrated artists.
Like the best Christmas tree that ever was, or a guided tour through Candyland, Leaf 1 (mixed media collage and sculpture) is a fantastical explosion of light and color, with half-moon glass beads wending around and throughout a forest of beads and trinkets and gewgaws.
